Chip has been a practicing Information Technology professional for over fifteen years, and a university lecturer on strategic technology management for the last five years. His experience with business technology spans consulting, education, telecommunications, engineering, and biotech industry categories. Chip is a specialist in project management, vendor relationship managment, technology deployment, network and systems security, business process analysis, and end-user training.
Despite being an enthusiastic Linux and Free and Open Source Software (F/OSS) advocate, Chip's professional experience includes work with many proprietary flavors of UNIX, Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and most commercial office productivity software. This extensive experience leads Chip to examine client problems with a "right tool for the job" approach, and lends itself well to creative solutions that fit within the economic, usability, and political limitations of the situation being addressed.
Along with his technical expertise, Chip has an MBA focused in Strategic Leadership from Dominican University of California, a BS in Biology / Chemistry, and several technical certifications. As one of the founding members, he served as the Chairperson of the Dominican University of California Business Association until December 2003, and is currently serving in his second three-year term on the Dominican University of California Alumni Board of Directors.
Chip manages most of the technology implementation and web design projects for Witt'z End Technology clients.
