Off to the ETC: Email Technology Conference...
posted by Chip Witt
It just dawned on me...I haven't been to a technology conference that wasn't Linux or Apple related in three years. The last one was the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference back in 2001. That's a long while, so it is lucky for me that I've been sponsored by my day job to participate in the ETC: Email Technology Conference in San Francisco tomorrow and Friday.
We have a particular interest in email these days, as it is full of interesting challenges that are in need of solutions in the enterprise, and we have had continuing difficulty with multi-platform client access to our current email technology infrastructure. To try to stay current with the times while shopping new alternatives, my boss decided to attend the Inbox: The Email Event in San Jose last week, and send me to the ETC event in San Francisco this week.
I'll blog my impressions of the ETC over the next couple of days, and will follow-up in coming weeks as my boss and I get to exchange notes on what we each saw on our respective trips. Should be fun...and hopefully informative.
Cheers,

As long as a blog puts out heat and light, others who care about the author's subject are drawn to it. So are Google and other search engines, which sift constantly through the ashes".
