EFF
posted by Chip Witt

Today I made good on promises I've made to every representative of the Electronic Frontier Foundation I've run into at trade shows over the last two years, and actually became an EFF member.

This would not be significant to anyone but me if I didn't share with you the magical "why" that made me finally follow-through on my promises. Today I happened upon the EFF Action Center site, a relatively new addition to the EFF pages. Here you can easily send a pre-formatted, editable letter in email or fax format to your Senator or Congressperson with a click of a button (after subscribing to the free service and entering your contact information on the first visit). Since writing the letter has always been the part that has kept me from writing my representatives, this site opened new doors for me by removing any remaining excuses I had.

This is truly an awesome idea, and I for one applaud the EFF for compelling me to finally follow my heart on issues that I take very seriously by simply making it too easy not to.

Happy Hacking!

As long as a blog puts out heat and light, others who care about the author's subject are drawn to it. So are Google and other search engines, which sift constantly through the ashes".
